  1. How clever! There are some tropical sheets from Ralph Lauren that would be perfect.

  2. Tuesday's are senior days at my favorite thrift shop.
They always have some very nice bed linens for sale. I see a challenge here as to just how little money I would need to invest to make this.

  3. Fabulous! I love caftans!! I might even have a spare sheet or two that would be fun to use (I hang on to old mismatched sheets to use to wrap fleece after my sheep have been shorn). Hah!

    1. I'm with you. Sometimes I stay in yoga pants and a t-shirt all day. :)

  6. I love the Neckline. The high standing collar with ties. I would make them long so they could drape - one in front one to the back. Walking down Waikiki Beach early in the morning after stopping for coffee, the wind blowing the ties behind me. Believe it or not, Waikiki Beach is pretty empty before 9 am.

  7. If I make this caftan, will I be transported to a tropical locale like the lady with the up-do? 'Cause I could use that! Thanks for sharing!

  8. Now this is my kind of style! Soft and flowing, and most importantly, comfortable! I'm going to have to look through my sheets. Then I'll have a reason to stay in a caftan all day. It's fashionable!

    1. Perfect for Christmas parties. Growing up in the 60's and 70's, my mom wore caftans a lot. She hosted a New Year's Day Open House party every year when I was growing up. We would cook for days before! Her menu was awesome and probably great for those with a hangover! The women dressed more comfortably after being out late on New Year's Eve so Caftans were a popular choice.
