Wardrobe Accessories of the 1940's

Here's a collection of ways to accessorize your look as done in the 1940's. 




























I would love to have instructions for a boutonniere but, I didn't find one in my stash of things to make. I personally love fresh flowers and, given the choice, would most certainly choose the real thing.

    I love the idea of bright felt flowers to brighten up a winter coat. Turbans always make me think of Sally Field in "Soapdish," though: "who am I, Gloria [bleep] Swanson!?!"

    Gabrielle Chanel aka Coco wore a Camelia flower. I know she was a bigger influence in the 20s and 30s, but I love her style. Flowers are so fun! Great post.

    The seasonal boutonnieres are my favorite accessory.
    They are so like the Easter corsages we wore for Easter.
