1950's One Yard
Hostess Apron
Courtesy of
A Perfect match with your fitted sheath, this perky little apron. The perfect mid-century housewife had the house spotless, dinner in the oven, candles lit, cocktails ready, and dressed for dinner before the man of house arrived home from a "hard" day at work.
This apron takes just one yard of your favorite vintage cotton or a great new designer fabric. Check out some of the Pattern Patter Team Members' shops for some great choices.

ReplyDeleteAdorable!! everyone should have one or two...or a few dozen hostess aprons. Love this pattern! :)
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is super-easy.
ReplyDeleteI whipped one up very similar last December for a hostess gift. My friend is an
outstanding cook but a non-sewer. You'd have thought I'd given her
a Cadillac--just because I took the time to make it. In reality it only
took me about 2.5 hours using fabric I had for years.
People who are non-sewers love getting a handmade item! I've made dresses for nieces and again quick & easy, they fall all over thanking you!
DeleteI made my Sister in Law and her granddaughter matching aprons a year ago for Christmas. They were adorable!
Thanks, Mary Beth!
ReplyDeleteCute apron, Thanks Catherine!
ReplyDeleteSweet and simple to make. Not much more anyone could ask for. :)
