This pattern
brought back fond memories of my childhood. We spent summers in New Hampshire at my grandmother’s dilapidated
cottage. Each morning we passed the general store and crossed Route 1 on our
way to the beach. The smell of
Coppertone® filled the air and the women on the beach wore terrycloth cover-ups
similar to this one.
Sweet sun baked memories! What a cute pattern, one of my favorite styles, thanks Mary Beth!
ReplyDeleteMy best memories as a child were those New Hampshire ones!
DeleteWhat a fun pattern! I need to make one as a summer bathrobe.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of coppertone. Both my daughter and I have a few summer lounge dresses just like this. I think I'll make a terry cloth one for after shower, so comfy! thanks for sharing this! :)
ReplyDeleteI grabbed a great piece of lightweight terrycloth at an estate sale last week. Turquoise with white flowers. I have yards of it!
DeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute! Similar to the original Lilly Pulitzer shifts which Jacqueline Kennedy wore, only a terry cloth one would be more practical. Mary Beth, that turquoise with white sounds like a Lilly pattern.
ReplyDeleteGreat freebie! I love the rick-rack fish.
ReplyDeleteI have this in terry cloth (in my locker at the gym!) and a cool cotton. Thought it would be cute in a fancier fabric for evening with a big silk ribbon. Thanks for the pattern - now I have something to work with!
ReplyDeleteThis would be cute made out of a shabby chic print cotton sheet for a grown up pillowcase dress look!
ReplyDeleteLove the cover ups!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking night gowns! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea ... make a few and tuck them as part of your guest bedroom for those guests that forget jammies or a coverup for after their showers!! Thanks a bunch for the pattern and ideas!
