Which bride were you? Were you the sophisticated bride of the 1940s, the demur bride of the 1950s, the coming of age bride of the 1960s, the barefoot hippie bride of the 1970s, or the new wave bride of the 1980s? Perhaps you were the modern bride of the 1990s and 2000s?

Did you keep it simple or go all out? Did you spend hours primping or walk down the isle with beach hair? No matter what you did or how you did it...every bride is beautiful...even the bride of Frankenstein had her attributes...because as we know, brides always look beautiful, their beauty lies not in their attire, but in the warm glow of love that radiates from their faces. Enjoy these bridal fashions from times gone by...

  1. Terrific post! I was definitely the new wave-er of the 80's. Love these gowns though.

  2. Such a nice Wedding Dress post! My dress was so beautiful, Camelot in style and hand made by one of my amazingly talented sisters. I later donated it to an auction to support breast cancer. So, another lucky bride had the chance to wear it. Every one of these dresses in this post are beautiful!

  3. What an amazing collection. So diverse! I was Priscilla of Boston - (trying to make mom happy) Silk gown, no lace.

  4. That Advance pattern is lovely. I had a super-small and casual wedding--I wore a white shirtdress and a big hat to hide my purple-tinted hair (my mom convinced me I'd appreciate it later when I looked at my wedding photos).
